LaunchBar is an intelligent and powerful productivity utility that allows for quick access to applications, documents, contacts and bookmarks, music libraries, search engines, and more by simply entering the short abbreviation of the search item name.

Start program

Quick start program is a basic feature of LaunchBar, which only requires simple input of a few letters, and the letters can be non adjacent. For example, if you want to search for AdGuard, you can enter AG or Au, and the AdGuard application will be found in the result list.

system operation

To empty the Empty Trash in the trash can, simply enter ET to start it quickly.

file management

After opening LaunchBar, press ⌥⌘ I to open the LaunchBar Index, which lists all searchable projects and functions. You can activate or close corresponding projects according to your own needs.

Click on the+icon in the upper left corner and select Add Folder from the pop-up menu to add a new search scope. (It is recommended not to put the entire hard drive in the search range, as this will search for many non target system files, etc.)

Sending emails

After searching for the file you want to send, press the "Tab" key, enter the abbreviation of your email (such as "Email" to search for "Email"), press the enter key to open your email, and you can send it!

Unrestricted extension

By customizing actions based on scripts, you can greatly expand LaunchBar to meet your needs. Install actions written by other users, or write your own actions in various scripting languages such as Apple Script, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, PHP, etc.

Information browsing

Browsing project metadata (such as image size, color configuration files, Finder tags), navigating to application bundles, browsing property lists or text file content, viewing recent documents and other associated files, viewing file properties, disk capacity, word count statistics, etc.

Instant feedback

More effective online searches can be conducted on Google, Wikipedia, or Duck Duck through real-time recommendations. Many operations, such as calculator or calendar input, now provide immediate feedback for input queries.
